Want to promote wellbeing in your workplace?
Want to improve your knowledge and understanding of good mental health and wellbeing?
January is arguably the toughest month of the year. Everyone is impacted by mental illness in some way, whether they personally struggle or they know someone who does. Our mental health awareness course is designed to ensure your staff have the tools they need to manage mental health in the workplace and to inform them of the risk factors, symptoms, treatment, and prevention methods, which will allow them to help the people around them and make for a workplace that is more informed and accepting about mental illness.
As an employer, you have a duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of your employees and other people who might be affected by your business. You must do whatever is reasonably practicable to achieve this. You have a legal responsibility to assess your employees’ risk of workplace stress, and respond appropriately to that assessment. As well as legal requirements, there are benefits from savings on costs due to sickness absence, replacing staff, increased productivity and reduced accident rate.
Our 3-hour course will help you to:
- Understand the meaning of mental health
- Recognise early signs of mental ill health
- Explain the stigma and discrimination associated with mental ill health.
- Understand a variety of mental health conditions
- Know how to promote wellbeing in the workplace
- Identify sources of support and information
- Reflect and evaluate current ways of working
